Komorebi takes its name from the Japanese word used to describe sunlight filtering through leaves and branches. In Japan, it is more than a visual momentβit is an awareness of impermanence, of beauty that exists precisely because it cannot be held.
This painting is inspired by that passing light: how it moves through plants, how it changes color, how it never stays the same. It reflects a way of seeing nature not as something to control, but something to observe, respect, and trust.
Komorebi is about allowing space for what needs to be. It holds softness and clarity togetherβlight and shadow, presence and absence. The colors are guided by this balance, inviting a quiet sense of hope: not forced, not loud, but steady. A reminder that even in uncertainty, light finds its way through.
