Paul el Pulpo (Paolo Agostini) is an Italian self-taught abstract artist.

Inspired by nature, movement, and introspection, he creates intuitive mixed-media works that explore freedom, connection, and the rhythms of the natural world.

Working on horizontal canvases from multiple directions, he paints through an immersive physical practice, guided by instinct rather than structure. El Pulpo—his symbolic alter ego—represents curiosity, sensitivity, and adaptability, giving rise to his artistic identity: Paul el Pulpo.

Based between Barcelona and Cape Town, he is a traveler and explorer, drawing inspiration from landscapes, cultures, and unexpected encounters along the way. His work reflects an openness to life, a sense of wonder, and a deep connection to the natural world.

Paul el Pulpo paintings have been exposed in Barcelona, Berlin, Cape Town and Tokyo.
